The Team

Our Team is made up of Trainers and Therapists who have been specially chosen for their expertise and knowledge in their field, for their professionalism and dedication, and above all else for their passion for helping people to change their lives. These are not your usual Trainers you see in the gym who will stand by your side whilst you run on the treadmill or flatter your ego whilst helping you stretch. These are Trainers who will make you work harder than you've ever worked before, who will guide you, push you, share their knowledge and experience with you and get you that body you've always wanted. But most of all these are Trainers who get results, and in the end that's what all Trainers should be judged by. Check out our Testimonials and you will see what our Clients say about us!
Carl Garton
Fitness has always been part of my life, my family competed at Olympic level in canoeing and national level in cycling, so with all these influences around me i started early and the bug has stayed with me.
Through competitive canoeing, kung fu, body building and later on kickboxing, I have always loved the discipline required to be good at your chosen sport. Joining the Royal Marines taught me a lot of valuable life skills and gave me the strength of mind to pursue my goals. But it wasn’t until I qualified (at the top of my class) with Premier Training in 2001 to become a Personal Trainer and Sports Therapist, that I realised I had found my vocation in life. I train people with the same passion and determination as I train myself, giving them my undivided attention to get them the results they want. There are no magic answers or gadgets that will give you health & vitality; it comes from old-fashioned hard work, sweat and good nutrition.
2 years ago I discovered Kettlebell’s, and was amazed at what a powerfully intensive and thorough workout they give you. I now use Kettlebell Training extensively with clients, making them leaner, fitter and stronger than they have ever been in their lives.
I now run The Fit Farm Ltd, where we offer Corporate Health & Wellness and Stress Management to the corporate sector, and Personal Training and Sports Massage Therapy to individuals.

Since then he has been fortunate enough to be taught by some of the best martial artists in the world, and has competed at a high level in full contact kick boxing and Philippine Arnis (stick fighting).
During the last 10 years Malcolm has also trained intensively in the softer/spiritual aspects of the Satria arts and is one of the only qualified teachers in the UK. He is currently teaching Satria Warrior arts and yoga in primary and secondary schools in Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Hampshire, The Priory, local community halls, and one on one with private clients.
Marc Piper
From a very early age I have had a great passion for sport and fitness. I enjoy all types of sport ranging from golf to tennis, and have also taken part in half marathons and triathlons.
The one sport that I have participated in the most in has to be football where I was fortunate enough to represent the county and also reached a semi-professional standard.
I also enjoy being able to coach football to various age groups, having passed my FA level 2 coaching badge
At college I gained a BTEC National sports diploma in sport (development & fitness) where I achieved 2 distinctions and a merit.
After college I went on to pass my level 3 as a personal trainer, and this is where I can put my passion for sport and fitness into helping others. I love seeing clients reach their goals and seeing the changes they have made after all their hard work.
Marc has recently joined The Fit Farm Team and is now actively helping clients all around Newbury to a healthier, fitter future.
